| dc.description.abstract | The local demand for red tilapia in the local market is insufficient to satisfy consumers. The objective of this study is to demonstrate the viability and feasibility of the implementation of a fish farm for the production and marketing of red tilapia in the Department of Francisco Morazán, contributing to the unsatisfied demand and at the same time presenting itself as a business opportunity for the tilapia producers. In the market study, through the application of 384 surveys, applying the statistical method for an infinite universe and complemented with information collected from official entities, the unsatisfied demand for tilapia in the department of Francisco Morazán was determined, in percentage terms 88% of The respondents are tilapia consumers, the preference is red and the purchasing frequency is monthly. In the technical study, the optimal production capacity was designed, which amounts to 28,000 pounds per year, considering the best location of the plant, its size and quantifying the amount of equipment, facilities and supplies of the project with the purpose of reaching 3.64% of the Target market. Through the administrative study, the human resource necessary to carry out the operational and productive processes of the farm was identified and defined. Its organizational structure, job profiles, hiring policies and personnel training were defined. The project in its initial stage will require the services of; 1 (one) part-time operations manager, (1) one feeding operator, (2) two gutting operators (harvest time). The legal study describes the legal requirements for the legalization and start-up of the company, as well as a schedule for compliance with each legal provision Through the financial economic study, the composition of income, costs and expenses in productive and operational processes was determined, with a projection of the financial statements for five years, accompanied by their respective analysis, the application of money valuation techniques over time. how to be; the net present value being greater than zero, at L.988, 491.00, the internal rate of return 44.14% is greater than that of the weighted cost of capital 12.5%, the cost-benefit ratio (C/B) of 1.98 is greater than 1, and the discounted recovery period of 2 years, 6 months and 2 days, is less than the evaluated period which is 5 years, thereby verifying the viability and economic and financial feasibility of the project. Through the social impact study, the importance of the project in generating employment and transmitting knowledge to the inhabitants close to the project was established. It is concluded that, considering all the project studies, the implementation of the red tilapia fish farm for production and marketing in the department of Francisco Morazán is viable and feasible. | es |
