dc.description.abstract The present study aimed to analyzes stress and resilience levels in women and men who are victims of domestic violence and who attend the Special Court Against Domestic Violence of Francisco Morazán, Honduras, in 2022. The study follows a quantitative approach with a non-experimental, cross-sectional, and descriptive-correlational design. The specific objectives include identifying stress and resilience levels by gender, evaluating the relationship between sociodemographic variables and these constructs, and determining the predominant factors. The sample consisted of 153 participants selected through non-probabilistic and intentional sampling. The Perceived Stress Scale (PSS-14) and the Wagnild and Young Resilience Scale (ER) were administered. Results show that women reported higher stress levels than men and that there is a statistically significant negative correlation between stress and resilience: higher resilience levels are associated with lower perceived stress. Additionally, participants with psychological support or social networks showed greater resilience. The main finding of the study is that resilience functions as a key protective factor against stress in contexts of domestic violence. These results highlight the need to strengthen psychosocial interventions to reduce stress and improve the quality of life of victims, providing a valuable foundation for designing public policies and comprehensive care programs. es
