Abstract

The main objective of this thesis is to analyze the influence of the competitiveness of education in the Honduran economy. It aims to understand the relationship between productivity and competitiveness of the educational system, to evaluate the impact of public policies and the participation of the public and private sector in education, to analyze the relationship between years of education, salary ranges and economic growth, and to understand the impact of educational competitiveness on the country's economy. The research is based on a positivist paradigm, using a mixed approach that combines statistical and descriptive data to address the problem. A non-experimental-transversal research design is employed, and a naturalistic qualitative approach with the interpretative hermeneutic method is used to design proposals for improvement in the educational system. Probabilistic sampling is used for the quantitative part and non-probabilistic convenience sampling for the qualitative part. The study uses data collection techniques such as surveys and interviews. And R Studio was used for quantitative data analysis and Atlas ti 9 for qualitative data. In summary, this thesis aims to provide a comprehensive analysis of the competitiveness of education in the Honduran economy, exploring different aspects of the correlation between education and the economy and proposing recommendations to strengthen the education system in different countries.
