Abstract

In the past, managing administrative processes and managing information used to be considered a personal art. Over time, it has become essential to understand information systems, since almost all organizations need this type of system to survive and prosper, especially those that decide to expand the distribution of their products to other countries. In the municipality of Comayagua there are companies that intend to do international business, but they focus on managing information independently using a series of systems. These systems require interfaces and manual procedures to input information, and thus do not meet the requirements for executive reports that management needs to make decisions in real time. In many cases, the systems are not adapted to the needs of the organizations, which affects the quality of the information derived from them. In this sense, the objective of the research is to analyze the effectiveness of the Management Information Systems in the industrial companies of the Municipality of Comayagua, when they use them, which allows them to participate in the international market, and thus be able to recommend to other companies important options to consider in order to implement them in the best way.
