Normalización del Test de atención d2 en niños hondureños de 8 a 12 años de edad, de las ciudades de Tegucigalpa y Comayagüela, en el período 2016-2017.

Abstract

The main purpose of this study has been to establish the normative data of selective attention levels measured with d2 attention test, of elementary school students among 8 years to 12 years old, from the cities of Tegucigalpa and Comayagüela, during the second semester of 2016 and the first semester of 2017; which provides a standardized test that measures childhood selective attention to the psychology and the education sector of Honduras. In this regard, with the collected data a sample size of 1,201 honduran participants (52% girls and 48% boys), of several schools in the capital city, the corresponding percentiles for both the construct general measure, attention and concentration of the d2 had been established for each of the age ranges according to the psychometrics’ instrument manual. The study is framed within a no experimental design with quantitative approach. It is a transversal and correlational study, since it analyzes the relation between attention and concentration measured with d2 test, according to age, gender and academic level; in this way, selective attention levels were obtained for the adequate clinical and psycho-pedagogical intervention of the honduran elementary school students.
