Resumen:
Companies currently represent the most efficient way for a country to achieve prosperity, promoting development through the generation of jobs, flow in the economy and wealth creation. In Honduras, the agro-industrial sector represents a transcendental part of the country's economic engine, and within this, the tobacco industry generates a great impact. This industry is characterized by providing a quality product that always seeks to meet the highest standards demanded in the international market and represents a competitive advantage. An important part of the production process in the tobacco industry is supply chain management. This compendium of publications comprises three investigations in which a triangulation was carried out, which includes qualitative and quantitative analyses to measure and understand the success and the factors that hinder the management of the supply chain as a strategy for competitiveness, addressing aspects such as the supply chain as a functional process for organizations, determining the factors that affect competitiveness and those related to resilience in the supply chain, in the tobacco industry in Honduras; An exploratory, descriptive and correlational methodology was used, and exploratory, confirmatory and path factor analysis was employed to carry out the analysis of variables in each article. The extensive research in these articles provides the opportunity for academics, professionals, and companies to gain a new perspective on the conditions and factors that influence supply chain management as a strategy to make tobacco companies competitive.
