Resumen:
Through the present research, which includes the description of one of the emerging technologies with the greatest boom at present, artificial intelligence, intelligent agents and their relationship with the support to the teaching-learning process become the protagonists, being a fundamental part of the proposal that supports the solution to the research problem. The individuals who Will be directly affected by this research proposal are the professors and students of the Systems Engineering career at UNAH, although it is worth mentioning that the results of this research are applicable to any institution, public or private, in which the teaching-learning process is carried out. The research is of quantitative type since its purpose is to evaluate the variations in the teaching-learning process before the inclusion of artificial intelligence agents in the Systems Engineering career, that is to say, it is based on statistical processes in an inferential way to quantify the dependency relationships between the elements that are directly related to the research problem. Among the main results of the research, it was verified that those involved use an intelligent agent in the process, that they expect these to help teachers to teach and students to understand more easily the topics of the subjects that comprise the curriculum of the career and finally the intelligent agent chosen were the chatbots, which are an assistant that communicates with users through text messages.
