Resumen:
The main objective of this research is to evaluate the incidence of the implementation of a technological management system, as a mechanism to optimize processes in the issuance of study certifications, in one of the Educational Districts of the capital of Honduras, since currently in these District Offices there are processes that are carried out manually and take a considerable time, in some cases they extend to 15 days. The research has a quantitative approach of the explanatory type, but also uses descriptive characteristics. Developed in two parts, the first with a non-experimental design, of the transactional type, and the second with experimental principles, since it is validated that the implemented application is effective. The universe of this study includes the 15 Educational Districts in the capital, of which 12 of them are taken to participate in the sample of the first stage, and one of them for the sample in the second stage. In both phases, the survey was used as a data collection technique, and online questionnaires as a collection instrument. Among the factors found that generate the greatest delay for the completion and delivery of a certification of studies are: first, the investment of time in the search for a student's file, since although the books are organized on shelves or files, internally these do not have a standard format in their content; and the second factor is the lack of technical resources such as: computers, photocopiers and internet. Despite this, when using a computerized solution, the time to prepare the certificate is reduced from three days to one day, which would be the same day that these documents are requested. The perception of the end user towards the application is satisfactory, and the degree of effectiveness achieved is significant compared to that obtained without the use of an application.
