Abstract:
According Habitat for Humanity International the Central District registers the largest housing deficit nationwide, so new alternatives are needed to beat this situation; social housing projects are accepted without any discussion by society, so the State must ensure the right of a dignified housing as it is established by the Constitution of Honduras. To demonstrate the feasibility of the project, it is necessary to carry out a demand study, which shows the need for more initiative of social projects that will slow down the deficit; the opinion of the population to the alternative solution through the readjustment of maritime containers it is favorable for the development of this type of projects. The technical study shows the project optimal locations and the most optimal one is chosen according to the Qualitative Location Method by points, which is based on important factors such as location, size, opinion of the target population, access to public services, access to roads, as well as the design of the proposed prototype. Within the governmental perspective, there are series of national regulations necessary for the execution of processes to contribute to the project's goal. All legal aspects and government regulations that must be accomplished for the execution of the project are found in the organizational study, as well as the organizational structure that it must have. The environmental impact assessment study is also presented, which indicates that the activity generates a moderate impact on the environment, but at the same time, its respective mitigation measures are presented to minimize the impact. Regarding the socioeconomic evaluation of the project, it is demonstrated through the Cost Efficiency Analysis that assesses the alternative solutions through their costs at social prices, which allow describing the social impact of the project through its benefits.
